Wave Rider

Second day here in CDA is going well. Started off the day with a cool run along the lake. Followed up with breakfast and then off to the practice swim. Even though the water is 65, it was a lot warmer than standing around in the 55 degree air. The swim when well. Visiblity is great, and I can see the bottom of the lake for most of the time. The only thing I didnt expect was how many waves there would be; pretty much bobbing up and down the whole swim. Coming back to shore with the current sort of feels like body surfing.

Other big event for today was athlete check in. I showed up about 20 minutes after check in started, and there was a huge line of people waiting to get their numbers. However, for some reason, since I have a low bib number, #590, I got shuffled all the way to literally first in line!! Im not sure why still, but I'll take what I can get.

Okay, must change into bike clothes for recon today. Got to check out them hills. More pics later!
